Dawn Jones, OTR/L,is the founder and co-owner of Stepping Stones Intervention Services, Inc. She has been an Occupational Therapist for 21 years serving adults and children in the Atlanta metropolitan area, Henry, Clayton, and Spalding counties. She is a native of Atlanta, wife and mother of three beautiful children. Since graduating from Florida A&M University, She has worked in the following settings: Public Schools, Daycare Centers, Home Health Care Adults & Children, Georgia Provider for Babies Can't Wait, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities, Atlanta VA Medical Center, and more. She is CPR Certified, Sensory Integration Certified in S.I.P.T., Modalities Certified, SOS Feeding Approach Certified and holds an Executive Certificate in Home modifications from the University of Southern California. She has also obtained several other post-graduate training certificates such as, Handwriting Without Tears, Improving Fitness & Function for Children with Special Needs, "Jump Start" Learning for Children with Sensory Dysfunction, The Shoulder Complex, Pharmacology for Therapists, Advanced Contracture Management, School-Based Therapy Intervention with Adaptive Equipment & Intro to the MOVE Curriculum and more. Dawn also has a passion for teaching, often serving as a Clinical Instructor to Master's and Doctoral Level OT students from several universities from around the United States. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Georgia Occupational Therapy Association and National Board Certification for Occupational Therapy.
The past 21 years as an Occupational Therapist has afforded her the opportunity to gain the knowledge and expertise to provide a wide range of services and interventions to children and adults. Her ultimate vision is for Stepping Stones to provide a Holistic treatment approach to serve not only the client, but the family as well to improve their overall quality of life.
